The Housecall Pro alternative for commercial and compliance work

Housecall Pro is strong on online booking, reviews and consumer financing. Forz is built for commercial maintenance: barcode-tracked inspections, equipment records by site and recurring contract billing, with every core module included at $50/user/month on annual plans or $60 month-to-month (10-user minimum).

Why commercial contractors look for Housecall Pro alternatives

1

Strongest on the homeowner side

Housecall Pro sells to both residential and commercial contractors, and it does the homeowner side well: online booking, review management, a customer portal and consumer financing. Its own product information page lists complex commercial project management and large-scale industrial operations as limitations. If your revenue comes from building owners and maintenance contracts, inspection records and contract billing matter more than booking widgets.

2

Contract tools sit on the top plan

As of September 2026, Housecall Pro's standard plans are Basic, Essentials and MAX at $59, $149 and $299 a month billed annually ($79, $189 and $329 month to month). Essentials can group and sequence jobs into routes, but one-click route optimization, recurring service plans, the sales proposal tool and API access are MAX features. Below MAX, service plans and proposals are paid add-ons.

3

Seat caps and add-ons stack up

On the standard price list as of September 2026, Basic includes 1 user, Essentials 5 and MAX 8. Extra users are $35 a month each and sold only on MAX, so a sixth user means upgrading. Pipeline, Voice and CSR AI are add-ons without a published price, paid Campaigns plans run $9–$49 a month by plan, and vehicle GPS is $20 per vehicle per month. Since July 2026, HVAC, plumbing and electrical shops get separate trade packages with higher list prices on Essentials and MAX. Their Essentials plans include the proposal tool, and the HVAC and plumbing versions add membership plans. The figures on this page use the standard list.

4

Inspections handled as checklists

The inspection tooling Housecall Pro lists is checklist automations and photo reports, on Essentials and up. Those work for documenting a service call. Compliance work puts each device on its own clock (a monthly visual, an annual test, a 5-year internal) with due dates calculated for you and a pass/fail record the customer can download. Forz tracks barcoded devices on inspection frequencies from daily to every 7 years.
