Forz vs FieldPulse
FieldPulse is a Dallas-based field service platform for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other trade contractors, and says it is built for small and midsize businesses with 5 to 200 employees. It doesn't publish prices. You get a custom, seat-based quote after a demo, buying a set number of seats up front for the contract term, with the rate depending on what each seat needs access to.

Key differences
Published pricing vs. a custom quote
Forz lists its price: $50 per user per month on an annual plan or $60 month-to-month, with a 10-user minimum and a 3-year rate guarantee on the core plan. Teams under 10 users can join the Small Business Program at 50% off in year one. FieldPulse publishes no prices or plan names, so you get a custom quote after a demo. Third-party pricing guides estimate roughly $65 to $115 per user per month as of September 2026, figures FieldPulse says it hasn't verified.
Seats and contract terms
FieldPulse is seat-based: you buy a set number of seats up front for the contract term. Its standard terms of service, which your order form can override, set a one-year term that auto-renews unless you give 60 days' written notice, and fees can rise at renewal. Fees are owed for the full term regardless of usage. You can add seats mid-term, billed at the per-seat rate for the rest of the term. The public terms don't describe reducing seats mid-term; they cover ending a subscription or added users at the end of a term. On Forz, the month-to-month plan is $60 per user with no annual commitment, and you can cancel or change your plan at any time. The annual plan is $50 per user. Both have a 10-user minimum.
What's in the base price
FieldPulse's core subscription covers a lot: scheduling and dispatch, job costing, a customer portal, and maintenance agreements. Asset tracking isn't listed as an add-on. Several tools are paid add-ons, priced by flat monthly fee, usage, phone line and license, or vehicle: Custom Forms (its inspection and form builder), the Pricebook and proposal tools, the Engage phone system, live vehicle GPS through Fleet Tracking, and its Operator AI and Chat AI tools. Forz includes every core module, inspections and route optimization among them, in the per-user price. Usage-based AI, telephony, payment processing, and premium add-ons are priced separately on Forz as well.
AI: built-in add-ons vs. your own agent
FieldPulse sells its own AI as add-ons built into the platform: Operator AI, a voice agent that turns inbound calls into jobs on the dispatch board, and Chat AI, a booking assistant for your website. Both are usage-based and priced on request, and Operator AI also requires the Engage phone add-on. Forz is model-agnostic. You can connect the agent you choose, whether Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Hermes Agent (an open-source agent from Nous Research), or a custom agent, through the Forz CLI or the Forz REST API; a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server is planned but not available yet. Forz doesn't mark up or meter your AI provider's usage; your provider bills you directly on your own account. Forz's built-in AI features, such as schedule suggestions and report filters, come with the plan. Any usage-based AI is optional, priced separately, and shown before you turn it on. Forz's AI isn't a phone-answering product, so if an AI receptionist is what you need, Operator AI is the closer fit.
Route optimization and inspection depth
FieldPulse's Route Optimization feature has the dispatcher click jobs on a map in the order they want them run, then fills in the times. A 'Route Optimization' item is listed 'On Deck' on its public roadmap as of September 2026. Forz orders the stops in one click, weighing drive distance, time windows, technician skills, job duration, and route capacity. For compliance work, Forz barcodes every device, puts it on an inspection frequency from daily to every 7 years, and calculates each next due date. Techs record Pass, Fail, or Bypass with photos, and the PDFs show up in the customer portal. FieldPulse handles inspection reports through its Custom Forms add-on. Its ClearPath tool is for job-stage workflows: an admin sets up the stages and the checklist or required actions for each one.
Where each one fits
FieldPulse fits residential and mixed HVAC, plumbing, and electrical shops that want deep workflow customization, QuickBooks Desktop or Xero sync, flat-rate pricebooks and good-better-best proposals (a paid add-on), or franchise and multi-business management. Forz is built for commercial trades where recurring inspections, service agreements, and route density drive the schedule, such as fire protection, elevator, generator, and security work, and for owners who want a published price with no annual commitment required.
Why companies switch from FieldPulse
Seeing the price before a sales call, and paying month-to-month instead of signing a one-year term that renews automatically
Dispatchers still ordering stops by hand who want routes optimized in one click around drive time, time windows, and technician skills
Recurring commercial inspections that call for barcoded devices, inspection frequencies from daily to every 7 years, and portal-ready reports in the per-user price instead of a forms add-on
